About Forge Born

A world that keeps its history.

Forge Born is designed so characters, places, relationships, mysteries, and consequences can survive from one release to the next. New stories begin inside a world that already remembers what happened.

The Fire Forge

The first known Forge.

An ancient, ruined Fire-affinity Forge is the first known location in the world. Its origin, power source, and exact mechanism remain unresolved.

How the world remembers

Behind the story is persistent world state: the facts, relationships, places, mysteries, and history that future stories can build from. Creative systems can explore possibilities without silently replacing what is already true.

The continuing loop is remember → imagine → create → release → reconcile → evolve. Planning can change during production; released events are what can become part of the persistent world.

A world everyone can watch unfold together

The evolution of the world is part of the experience. Characters can discover it at the same time the audience does, while shows, lore, and physical creations reveal different parts of a world that keeps growing.

Future audience interaction may help steer which possibilities receive attention and where the story explores next without erasing the history that already exists.

Founding cast

Four expressions of Fire.

The same elemental Spark produces very different characters when species, personality, strengths, flaws, and relationships come together.

Ember

Fire Dragon

Ember

Bold, protective, dramatic, and curious — with enough power to make restraint matter.

Cinder

Fire Fox

Cinder

Clever, dry, competitive, and always looking for the position that gives the most leverage.

Smolder

Fire Turtle

Smolder

Patient, dependable, stubborn, and nearly impossible to rush once he has made up his mind.

Flicker

Fire Rabbit

Flicker

Fast, funny, impulsive, intensely competitive, and usually moving before the explanation is finished.

Species + Spark + individual

Each Forge Born combines a persistent animal species with an elemental Spark. Species influences natural abilities and tendencies; Spark influences elemental powers and complications. Neither fully determines personality. Each species-by-Spark combination is a distinct character rather than a transformation of another character.

The Sparks

The established Spark system begins with Fire, Water, Nature, and Lightning. Fire is associated with heat and ignition; Water with water, ice, and adaptation; Nature with plants, growth, and restoration; and Lightning with electricity, speed, illumination, and technological interaction.

The Forge

A Forge is a family of creation or awakening systems that can shape matter, energy, or form into embodied beings or objects. Individual Forges may appear ancient, industrial, robotic, mystical, or portal-like. Their common origin—and even the exact mechanism by which they work—remains unknown.

Forge Forms

Physical printed embodiments can exist inside the fiction as Forge Forms. This lets a character persist across animation, lore, and a tangible object without treating merchandise as separate from the creative world.

Tone

Forge Born is colorful without being preschool-oriented. The intended tone is sarcastic, absurd, slightly pessimistic, and character-driven, with humor built from personality contradictions, inconvenient powers, manufacturing and embodiment jokes, and epic mythology colliding with mundane problems.
